Congratulations To Rachel & David On Your Wedding Day!

Congratulations to Rachel & David on your wedding day!

Here is a little insight to one of our April 2022 weddings here at Mapperton House & Gardens.

Rachel & David celebrated the day in the All Saints Church with a wedding blessing conducted by FanFare Ceremonies, followed by a legal ceremony led by Dorset Council which they only invited their close family too.

Guests then headed towards the The Orangery where the couple had hired Prufrock Coffee to supply endless amounts of tea and coffee for their guests. The couple themselves are self-proclaimed coffee addicts so had to incorporate it into their special day!

Jo from Oxbridge Farm Catering and her team provided a wonderful lunchtime spread of antipasti’s then later on catered for their evening meal.

As David is from Germany there were some German traditions included amongst the celebrations. An old German wedding custom, the tradition of cutting a log, represents the first obstacle that the couple must overcome in their marriage. They must work together to “overcome the obstacle” by sawing through the log. Using a large, long saw with two handles, the couple demonstrates their teamwork to friends and family, and their willingness and ability to master the difficulties that inevitably arise in a marriage.

The log did not take too long to saw through!

In the evening, they enjoyed some enjoyable music by The Gallivants Band which are a roaming band for weddings and events

So, if you’re looking for the perfect blend of smooth and polished, yet vibrant and upbeat music for intimate or loud party atmospheres – then look no further.
